How to use Expressions in Workflows?

This article explains how to include expressions in Workflows.

Let's say you are conducting a quiz for your audience, and you want the quiz score to be sent along with a copy of the responses to the respondent’s email. This can be achieved using Workflows.

Let’s see how it works. 

1. Build your quiz questionnaire and navigate to the Integrate tab & Workflows. Click on the "+New Workflow" Button at the top.

2. Click on Add filter group to define the workflow conditions. In our case, we have chosen Expressions since we already have an expression (Result) created for this quiz survey.

3. The next step is to select the expression - “Result”.

4. Select “Has any value” from the list of filter options available.

5. Now that the conditions are defined, it’s time to select the action and do some email customizations.

6. Once done, click Create. 

7. Now, when the survey is shared to your respondents and when they complete the survey, they would be receiving an email along with the quiz score. Refer to the screenshot below.

Note:

• You can fill the From and To email addresses manually, or choose from the contact properties by clicking on the dollar symbol ($).
• {expression_score} can be included inside the email body on clicking the dollar symbol ($). 
• You can customize the email body according to your preferences.
