Connecting a customer service and sales software like MS Dynamics 365 with SurveySparrow opens up the door to refine customer experiences throughout their journey. With this integration, it amplifies the capabilities of MS Dynamics 365 by adding a layer of customer engagement and feedback.
Now, let’s see how to connect your MS Dynamics 365 account with SurveySparrow and explore the integration’s capabilities.
Connecting your MS Dynamics 365 account
1. Log in to your SurveySparrow account and navigate to account’s settings.
2. Head to the Apps and integrations section and click MS Dynamics 365.
3. Click Add Account to get started connecting your MS Dynamics 365 account.
4. Choose a module that you would like to connect.
Please refer to the image below to get the domain URL for your MS Dynamics module.
5. Enter your domain URL for the module and click Save.
That’s it! Your MS Dynamics 365 module is now connected to your SurveySparrow account.
Trigger a survey when an entity is created/updated
1. Navigate to the Integrate section of a survey and click MS Dynamics 365.
2. Click New Trigger present in the “Trigger Survey when an Entity is changed/updated” section.
3. Under Event, choose an account to configure the event.
4.Choose an entity in the selected account.5. Choose actions for which the survey has to be triggered.
6. You can now add conditions for which the survey has to be triggered. Click Add New.
7. Choose an entity’s field.
8. Select an operator for the condition.
9. Specify a value for the condition.
If you would like to add more conditions under “Meet all of the conditions”, you can click Add New and proceed adding the conditions.10. Use the logic operators to further add conditions under “Meet any of the condition” section.
11. Choose the variables which you would like to pass along with the survey.
12. Choose a mode to send the survey.
13. Select the field in MS Dynamics that contains the recipient’s information.
14. Select the Share Channel through which the survey has to be sent and click Save.
The trigger is set up successfully! The survey will be triggered when the configured conditions are satisfied.
Create/Update records in MS Dynamics 365
1. Navigate to the Integrate tab of a survey click MS Dynamics 365.
2. Click New Trigger present in the “Create or update record in MS Dynamics 365 from survey responses” section.
3. Choose an MS Dynamics 365 account in which a record has to be created or updated.
4. Choose the mapping type.
5. Choose an entity under the selected account.
Ensure that you send the chosen entity’s ID along with the survey.
You can also choose to click Configure and map the entity’s ID.
Choose an identifier from the available types to map with the entity’s ID in MS Dynamics 365.
6. Choose the source type to start mapping the data.
7. Choose the data to be sent to MS Dynamics 365.
8. Select the field in MS Dynamics 365 to which the data has to be added or updated.
If required, enter a default value for the field.
9. Click Add another to proceed with mapping more fields.
10. Click Save to complete setting up the configuration to create or update records in MS Dynamics 365.
All set! Based on the configuration, a record in MS Dynamics 365 will be created or updated once the survey receives a response.
Disabling the integration
1. Log in to your SurveySparrow account and navigate to account’s settings.
2. Head to the Apps and integrations section and click MS Dynamics 365.
3. To disable integration with a specific MS Dynamics module, turn off the toggle against the specific module.
4. To disable the integration with all the MS Dynamics 365 modules, turn off the toggle present against MS Dynamics 365.
Note
- At a time, you can add only one account for each MS Dynamics 365 module.
- To create or update a row in an MS Dynamics 365 module, ensure that the corresponding entity ID is sent for each response.
