Integrating Segment with SurveySparrow

Analyze survey responses in a tool of your preference 

Segment is a Customer Data Platform(CDP) that enables you to collect, clean and control customer data. By integrating Segment with SurveySparrow as a source, you can push the responses to a tool of your choice for further analysis.

On every response submission, the data will be sent to the configured Segment Destination. Now, let’s see how to set up SurveySparrow as a Segment Source.

Adding SurveySparrow as Segment Source

1. Log in to your Segment account and navigate to the Catalog section.

2. Under the Sources section, select SurveySparrow.

3. Click Add Source.

4. Enter a source name for your reference.

5. Assign a label to limit the access, if needed.

6. Click Add Source.

7. Copy the Write key and keep it safe to use while setting up the integration in SurveySparrow.

Setting up the Segment-SurveySparrow integration

1. Log in to your SurveySparrow account and navigate to Account Settings.

2. Head to the Apps and Integrations section.

3. Enable the Segment Source integration toggle.

4. Paste the Write key that was generated in Segment.

5. Select a Segment data processing region.

6. Click Save.

Configuring the survey source

1. Navigate to the Integrate section of a survey.

2. Enable the Segment integration.

3. Click Enable Integration.

That’s it! Whenever the survey receives a submission, the data will be pushed to the configured Segment Destination. You can now analyze the data in a more familiar analytics tool of your comfort.

• At present, only the survey submission completed event is supported
