After configuring your WhatsApp Business Service Provider account, you’re ready to start adding the WhatsApp message templates. Let’s see how to do that!
1. Navigate to your account’s Settings and go to the WhatsApp section.
2. Choose your active WhatsApp Business Service Provider account.
3. Move to the Message Template template section.
4. Enter the Template Name and Template ID as configured in your WhatsApp Business Service Provider account.
5. Under Template Body, add your customized WhatsApp message as present in your WhatsApp Business Service Provider account.
6. For WhatsApp Business Provider accounts that require “template_Placeholder” in the configured Request body, map the placeholders added to the Template Body in the Configure Template Variables field.
In this case, “customer_name” is a placeholder in your message template that’s present in your WhatsApp Business Service Provider account. It will be mapped to the placeholder, “{{1}}” in Template Body.
7. Once you confirm that your message template complies with the WhatsApp-approved guidelines, click Save.
That’s it! Now you can access the added template while configuring your WhatsApp share.
Note
- Placeholders are elements that will be replaced by actual values during each API call to send a message.
- {Template_placeholder} is a variable added to the Request Body in your configuration which will hold the value added in the Configure Template Variables field
